The section includes settings for controlling and tracking user logins, the complexity of the password they use, and authorization options for increased security:
Security
1. Authentication settings (a number of restrictions on user login):
- Remember me - allows you not to enter the password every time.
- Check IP - when a user logs in from a different IP address, the system prompts you to enter your password.
- For how many days it remembers - how many days the system remembers your login data and will not ask you for a password.
- Number of login attempts - a convenient feature when for some reason there is a variant of password search, blocks the user who has exceeded the specified number of attempts.
2. Password Policies. A set of rules to improve security by checking the strength and requesting changes to user passwords, such a policy can be part of official requirements and company rules.
3. Two-factor authentication (2FA). This is a method of user identification for logging into the service, where you need to confirm in two different ways that it is the owner of the account. This feature seriously increases the level of security.
4. Files. Select from the list of allowed files that can be unloaded from the system. If the field is empty, all files are available for uploading.
Single sign-on (SSO)
SSO is a technology that combines several different login screens for different platforms into one. With single sign-on, a user only needs to enter their credentials (username, password, etc.) once on one page to access all of their SaaS applications. SSO is not only much simpler and user-friendly, but it is also considered more secure.
